The one other camera I had with me on my holiday was the Contax IIIa, with a 50mm f1.5 Sonnar lens, which is just such a nice piece of kit. Critically undervalued, too – especially if you go for the ones that nobody wants (III/IIIa, with the light meter that often doesn’t work anymore, instead of the sleeker looking II/IIa).
Mine does still have a shutter curtain timing issue on higher speeds (1/500s and shorter), where the second curtain is a bit too fast. Or the first one too slow. If it gets worse, I’ll try to fix that eventually – but as it is, it doesn’t really bother me much.
